I am an assistant professor of management at the University of Dayton. I am excited about the relationships between identity, culture, and decision-making. In my research, I examine the effects of social identities on decision-making, with a special emphasis on the role of conflicting identities and contexts. I ask questions such as how and why perceptions of one’s multiple social identities as conflicting (e.g., dual cultural identities), social roles in identity-conflicting contexts (e.g., women in competitive settings), and exposure to culturally diverse contexts (e.g., expatriate assignments), can impact decision processes, choices, and behavior.
